#10 Thread dress
Made from a late '30's-early '40's pattern. Too bad my daughter grew so fast, it's too small for using as a shirt now, too! She wore this out for Mother's Day and would not remove her hat at all because "Mommy made it for me."

First sweater for hubby
Sorry about the fuzziness on this one! Hubby is allergic to wool, but wanted a "wool warm" sweater. I used two different color acrylics-blue and gray in worsted weights. The pattern is from the Craft Yarn Council site in the "Men's Wear".

Close-up on front of hubby's sweater
I changed the criss-crossing a bit on the center "diamond"s so that the "rope" is over one strand, under the next, and over the last of the three, where the pattern was straight across, no over/unders. Works for me :)

Backside of hubby's sweater
I added the center 3-stranded twist cable to the backside. The original had plain straight rows all the way across.

Tunisan afghan
I'm still working on this one. It has three yellow panels done in Tunisan, and the varigated panels are done in single and double crochet stitches, with a bobble pattern edging. The argyle is cross stitched, and as you can see, I still need to do the other panels to finish it off.

Closer look at varigated section
It's weird how the color changes on the camera from one shot to the other. The first two shots are pretty true color-wise, but this one turned out more blue-ish.

Back view of top
This was downsized from a 1940's Womans Day pattern book to fit my daughter, who was 3yrs. old at the time. I used two strands of #10 thread together for this rather than yarn. Made keyhole button closure for this, using a large pearl-shaped button. I liked how the sleeves set in to the body creating that '40's padded shoulder look without using any pads.
