This was downsized from a 1940's Womans Day pattern book to fit my daughter, who was 3yrs. old at the time.  I used two strands of #10 thread together for this rather than yarn.  Made keyhole button closure for this, using a large pearl-shaped button.  I liked how the sleeves set in to the body creating that '40's padded shoulder look without using any pads.
