Cable Jumper magazine pattern

I'm international now!  My first published pattern outside the United States!  The Cable Jumper is published in the British magazine, Simply Crochet, Issue 93.  It can also be found through Ravelry. 

It looks more complicated than it is, so give it a try!  It's a short pullover, barely comes to top of the hips. Made in light weight yarn to be worn over a cami.

© NLS StitchesIf you like texture in your hats, this pattern is for you! Two different styles, three different sizes - small, medium, and large. Only one skein of yarn, light to medium worsted, less than 208 yds needed. 

This looks way more complicated than it is to make!  And surprisingly, it's not really a yarn-eater like a lot of post stitch patterns are.

Rated for intermediate skills, but I think an advanced beginner would be able to work this pattern, too.

This sweet pattern works up quickly.  Done in three panels with main color, it's joined with interesting, textured stitches in complimentary contrast color, and finished with a matching straight-edged border

Just as easily made in colors for girls, too.  Add a frillier border such as the one pictured here. Or go large, make it a Momma or a Daddy size!  (more yarn would be needed for that, though!)

Camel-lot Scarf for Him

©NLS StitchesThis scarf works up quick with a lot of drape, and the stitch pattern does not create a lacey or holey fabric. It’s thin enough for warmth and does not create excess bulk. It’s long enough to wear doubled on itself, and short enough not to trip on it. It can be made using either a sport or DK weight yarn; fiber content is the stitcher’s choice!

Due to a couple of special stitches, two hooks will be ©NLS Stitchesneeded. The bulk (pun NOT intended!) of the scarf is done with the larger hook, the special stitches done with the smaller hook. The scarf pictured in this pattern was made using USJ-10/6 mm and USH-8/5 mm hooks with a sport weight yarn, and it’s approximately 4.5 inches/12 cm wide by 82 inches/208 cm long. So depending on the stitcher’s tension, which weight of yarn is chosen, and hook sizes used, the scarf should only take between 250-325 yards of yarn.

This is a hat and scarf set for Mom and Daughter. The smallest (17”-19”) hat fits for a toddler, the medium (20”-22”) for a child or small adult, and the large (22”-24”)for us bigger people. 

The scarves are variable lengths; the different sections would be entirely up to you as to what order you want to use. I listed the directions for the different sections and the order I used for the three scarves in this pattern.

The small hat and scarf uses 1.75 skeins of yarn, the medium hat and scarf uses about 2.25 skeins, the large hat and scarf use about 2.75 skeins of yarn at specified gauge.
