Camel-lot Scarf for Him
Camel-lot Scarf PDF formatted pattern on Ravelry; $4.00 USD
This scarf works up quick with a lot of drape, and the stitch pattern does not create a lacey or holey fabric. It’s thin enough for warmth and does not create excess bulk. It’s long enough to wear doubled on itself, and short enough not to trip on it. It can be made using either a sport or DK weight yarn; fiber content is the stitcher’s choice!
Due to a couple of special stitches, two hooks will be needed. The bulk (pun NOT intended!) of the scarf is done with the larger hook, the special stitches done with the smaller hook. The scarf pictured in this pattern was made using USJ-10/6 mm and USH-8/5 mm hooks with a sport weight yarn, and it’s approximately 4.5 inches/12 cm wide by 82 inches/208 cm long. So depending on the stitcher’s tension, which weight of yarn is chosen, and hook sizes used, the scarf should only take between 250-325 yards of yarn.
