July's Conference

Well, have you all got your things organized, packed and ready to go in 4 weeks?!  I thought I did.  Then realized I wasn't anywhere NEAR as ready as I thought! 

I had to give up on my combined crochet/knit top.  I admit it, it got the better of me.  I think the biggest problem is the age-old problem - not enough yarn to accomplish what was wanted.  (sigh)  That and the neckline of the "undershirt"!  I'll get a picture posted soon of what's been done on it so far.

So I started another project to take with me.  I ran out of "test bodies".  I think my next investment will be a dressmaker's dummy.  Adjustable of course, like me.  lol  But I do have one more local chapter meeting before the conference, so.........ladies, are you willing to be my mannequin again? 

Next I need to get a portfolio of sorts put together of all sorts of different things.  My designs, adaptations of other patterns, some of my contract crochet models, etc.  That should prove to be an interesting project.  Just the thought of gathering and organizing all those pictures is daunting!!!  I'll just have to give it my best shot.

I need another week of vacation just to get ready for the conference!
