That was fast!!
I hadn't realized that almost 1 1/2 years have gone by since my last post here!! WOW, that went fast!
I guess I could blame my friend Margaret Hubert for part of that. I'll let you in on a secret - she puts the Energizer Bunny to shame! I do contract work with her, and we've done projects for 3 or 4 books, yes BOOKS!, in the past year and a half! And she keeps right on a-goin'! She's what I want to be when I grow up! lol
I am humbled and honored that she also asked me to contribute some textured, cabled designs to one of her new books that will be coming out in July, the 2nd edition of her 'The Complete Photo Guide to Crochet".
My last post was about Reversible Strands for Men (and Women, too!) having just surpassed 3,000 people marking it as a favorite pattern. That number is now over 5,000!! Unbelievable! And amazing to me!
I've also just posted my newest hat pattern for sale on Ravelry, and I can tell you that it's been awhile since I've done that! First I "lost" the pattern's PDF while trying to upload it. Poof, gone, no where to be found. So a new one needed to be made. Ok, done, up and loaded now.
Then I couldn't remember how to get things linked at all, like my own project page! Ok, done and linked now.
I had had the pattern tested by some other Ravelers, and as a "Thank you" to them, tried sending them a "gift" link. It's an expiring link, and silly me, I thought that meant it expired starting when the recipient first clicked on it. It seems that it started counting down from when I copied it into an email for them instead. But I've got most of them taken care of now. Only a few more to hear from.
I think my testers did a great job. Sometimes I can't see what I wrote making sense or not because I already know how I did the workup of that pattern. Extra eyes are amazing!
This is a fun hat for those cool Spring or Fall days that can be done with just a single color, or a contrast color can be added to any portion of the hat. I need to work up a matching scarf for it now!
Another new thing I had gotten done this past year is have a logo created. You can see that at the top of these pages. Now I just need to get the rest of this blog's "coloring" more in tune with those colors! :D
Have a good night!
