Conference Time (so soon, so fast, already!)
Well that time of year is here again! I leave for NH on Tuesday, a mere 2 1/2 days away. Do I have anything ready to go yet? Nope, not really!
The sneak peak from the last entry I posted has been revamped from that particular picture. It's kind of the same, but not really.
I've got my version of Doris Chan's Zen Jacket done, but where hers was done with NaturallyCaron.com's Spa yarn, I used some silk/merino in variegated colors of antiqued rose, gold, blue and green that I had purchased at Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool last fall. Oh, it turned out sooooooo soft!!! It worked up sooooooo nice!
Then there's the design I was thinking about entering into the CGOA Design Contest, but alas, I did not meet the deadline. So it will have to make do with the fashion show at the end of the week! That was done with some Stacy Charles Cosmos yarn I purchased from my first trip ever to Webs yarn store in Massachusetts two years ago. And as usual with the kind of luck I have, I needed more balls that the bag of ten I had bought. And then found out it was a discontinued color as of this past spring. Then the search was on. I found three balls, same color in Nebraska, and three more in Oregon. Can you imagine my total surprise when I found that all six of these new balls were a match with the dye lot?!?!?! Who knew? Two years apart, east coast, mid country, and west coast and they matched! I've still got tails to tuck in on that one before it's done.
Pictures of all to be posted after I get back.
Did I pack anything yet? Nope. Did I get my classes notebook ready? Nope. Did I get all my homework for some of these classes done yet? Nope. Did I mention I leave in 2 days?
Good thing I've got two weeks vacation starting next week! I'll need the second one to recuperate from all the hustle and bustle of getting out of here, and all the excitement of the conference. But the best part I think is going to be not hearing my alarm clock going off at 3 a.m. saying it's time to go to work! lol
Have a good nite! :D
